Hylke & Anders adventures in Greece!
The second day we started by climbing to a refuge at 1900m.

This picture is taken while looking back on the village we slept in.

Here is the refuge! The 1000m climb wasn't as hard as we expected.

This refuge is situated on a ridge.
This is a picture taken at the refuge while looking the other way.
At the bottom of the valley lies a dried
out delta. We walked across this delta and up to the
small green mountaintop you see in the
center of the photo. Look closely and see the path.

The destination of this trip was to conquer the evil Triton who lives in the
Dragon lake.
Ah well, this is the dragon lake. At 2000m height!

And this is the evil Triton!!! The funny thing is that this lake is the only
place in the world that this
reptile lives. If i would have farted really hard in the water, i would have
killed an entire species!
Oh by the way, as you can not see: the belly of the triton is orange. We
tried to get this on the photo,
but these things always fail.

Alright, do you remember the small green mountain-top a few photo's back?
This is Hylke sitting on this top!

When we saw the small top (100m height) covered with grass, we thought: looks
cute!
So we decided to climb it. The funny thing is that we didn't know what was on
the other side.
There was no grassy slope here! Instead the huge gorge falling down 1000m or
something!
I got a real fear of heights there! Nice!

Looking back on the lake from the small top. Oh, did i mention that we swimmed
naked in it?
The next day we walked back to Micro Papigno and from there to Megalo Papigno
(100 inhabitants or so). On the way to this town, we stopped at a nice small
stream that had
carved out itself out of the rock, leaving very smooth rocks filled with frogs.
Like childeren we built the hover dam here and then crushed the damn dam. The
frogs must hate us now.

This picture is taken at a cafe in Megalo Papigno at about 900m. The owner must
love flowers.
